The phrase length is typically referred to as 'Matra' and the fixed interval as 'Gap'. The Tabla Tihai Helper app is developed to help musicians easily understand the concept of tabla and tihai. It provides an unlimited number of tihai patterns for all beat cycles ranging from 4 (Chota Keherva) to 16 (Teen Taal) in including half beat cycles (e.g. 8.5 beat cycle). You can view the tihai patterns and listen to the tabla tihai sound for clear understanding.
